Dr. Ryan Bader
Dr. Ryan Bader was born in Springfield, MO and graduated High School from Marshfield, MO. In 1998 he graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Animal Science and went on to be a herdsman for a cow/calf operation in North Carolina. While he was in North Carolina he decided that he wanted to pursue veterinary medicine and he and his wife, Sarah, returned to Missouri with that mission in mind. Upon returning to Missouri, Dr. Bader worked for The University of Missouri’s Dairy Farm and was also a research assistant for the large animal Vet School Department, specializing in mastitis. During vet school he focused on training and education to be a mixed animal practitioner. In 2008 Dr. Bader graduated from The University of Missouri’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He worked in Jefferson City, MO at a mixed animal practice for five years. In August of 2013 Dr. Bader founded Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Bader and his wife, Sarah, have a son and daughter and two dogs. Dr. Bader is involved in Boy Scouts and enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, fishing, camping and playing golf. He is a member of Missouri Cattlemens Association and Missouri Veterinary Medicine Association.
Dr. Ana Smith
Dr. Ana Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arkansas Tech University in 2007. She then went on to pursue her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2013. After working in a small animal clinic for four years, she and her husband made the decision to relocate to Nixa, Missouri with their daughter to be closer to family. Dr. Smith has a special interest in exotics animals including reptiles, pocket pets and miniature pigs. Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with family, their family dog and cat, outdoor activities, and playing tennis.
Dr. Nicki Jesky
Dr. Nicki Jesky graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Missouri in 2004. Her interests include surgery, wellness care, clinical pathology and pain management. She has been married since 2001, she likes traveling with her husband and especially enjoys going to the beach! She also participates in local foreign exchange programs as a host family and has hosted students from Egypt, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Her passion for pets does not end after work hours. Outside of the clinic, her hobbies include running, riding her horse and training her dogs for various canine sports. She is an active volunteer and foster for a border collie rescue and an active member of Pet Therapy of The Ozarks.
Sarah B. is excited to be assisting her husband with clinic administration duties. With a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Social Work, she enjoys working with people and assisting clients with their animal health care needs. She is also family focused and thrilled to be back in Southwest Missouri to raise her children with Dr. Bader. Sarah is involved with Nixa Schools’ PTA, the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks, Masterminds of Biz (a professional networking group) and The Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to family she also enjoys spending time with her friends and camping.
Sarah Ellen was born and raised in Springfield, MO. Her family knew she was an animal lover at heart from a very young age. If she is not working she is spending time with her daughter and family that includes several cats and dogs. Sarah is not only an animal lover but a people person as well. Prior to working at Seven Hills she worked in a family run business for many years. These attributes make her the perfect fit for our team. She is great at greeting all of the patients and clients with a friendly “hello”.
Kate grew up on a farm and showing livestock at fairs. She loves working with exotics and has always had a passion for animals. She is currently pursuing a degree in veterinary technology. She has 2 dogs, a cat, chameleon and a bearded dragon. She also enjoys scuba diving and spending time with family.
Tonya joined the Seven Hills team with previous vet tech experience. She has lived in Southwest Missouri since 2012 and loves the local hiking and Kayaking. She has a dog named Sophie. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Shayla is from Republic, MO and has three dogs and two horses. She has an associate’s degree in Biological Clinical Science and with her love of animals she is excited to work in the veterinary medicine field. She loves spending time with her friends and family.
Kim grew up in St. Louis riding horses and now lives in Nixa, MO with her husband and 5 boys. She likes to spend her free time at Table Rock Lake, taking her 3 dogs for a walk and volunteering at Nixa Public Schools.
Mikkayla is originally from Ozark, MO. She enjoys farming cattle, riding her Fox Trotter named, Lady and taking her dogs, June and Jake, for a walk. She has always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and thoroughly enjoys being a veterinary technician. She also enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend and friends outside of work. In addition to her dogs and horse, Mikkayla also has a Rex bunny named, Milo and a bottle calf named, Miss Julie, that she has raised since she was just a couple of days old.
Michael is currently majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Equine Studies at Missouri State University. He is originally from Platte City, MO and served in the United States Marine Corps for seven years. He helps out throughout the clinic but really enjoys large animal veterinary medicine specifically. He has three dogs Daisy, Duke and Dixie.
Rachel was raised on a farm in Battlefield but now a resident of Nixa. She has a yellow lab mix named Riley. Her hobbies include reading and fishing. Outside of work, she is active in children’s ministry and also enjoys spending time with friends and family. The thing she loves most about working in veterinary medicine is being able to watch our patients grow and heal as they come back to visit overtime.
