Dr. Ryan Bader
Dr. Ryan Bader was born in Springfield, MO, and graduated High School from Marshfield, MO. In 1998 he graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Animal Science and went on to be a herdsman for a cow/calf operation in North Carolina. While he was in North Carolina he decided that he wanted to pursue veterinary medicine and he and his wife, Sarah, returned to Missouri with that mission in mind. Upon returning to Missouri, Dr. Bader worked for The University of Missouri’s Dairy Farm and was also a research assistant for the large animal Vet School Department, specializing in mastitis. During vet school, he focused on training and education to be a mixed animal practitioner. In 2008 Dr. Bader graduated from The University of Missouri’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He worked in Jefferson City, MO at a mixed animal practice for five years. In August of 2013, Dr. Bader founded Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Bader and his wife, Sarah, have a son and daughter and two dogs. Dr. Bader is involved in Boy Scouts and enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, fishing, camping and playing golf. He is a member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and Missouri Veterinary Medicine Association.
Dr. Ana Smith
Dr. Ana Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arkansas Tech University in 2007. She then went on to pursue her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2013. After working in a small animal clinic for four years, she and her husband made the decision to relocate to Nixa, Missouri with their daughter to be closer to family. Dr. Smith has a special interest in exotics animals including reptiles, pocket pets and miniature pigs. Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with family, their family dog, and cat, outdoor activities, and playing tennis.
Dr. Ellie Selanders
Dr. Selanders is from Kansas City and acquired a Bachelor of Animal Science and Agriculture at Kansas State University and is a proud member of The Kappa Delta Sorority. She discovered her passion for animals while working at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead in Overland Park, Kansas, and pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Kansas State University. Her special interests are in food animal and small ruminants, as well as surgery. In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Selanders also enjoys baking, hiking, camping, and spending time with her cat, Rory.
Sarah is excited to be assisting her husband, Dr. Bader, with clinic administration duties. With a Bachelor and Master degree in Social Work, she enjoys working with people and assisting clients with their animal health care needs as well as interacting with the clinic team. Sarah is involved with Nixa Schools’ PTA, the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks and The Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to family, she also enjoys spending time with her friends, studio fitness and camping.
Tonya is the Seven Hills clinic manager. With a background in veterinary technology, she has been able to assist with training of technicians as well as many other roles she takes on as manager. She has lived in Southwest Missouri since 2012 and loves the local hiking and kayaking. She has a dog named Sophie. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Customer Service Representatives (CSR)
Taylor has a background in equine care prior to working at Seven Hills. She enjoys learning all the aspects of working with clients and patients that come to the clinic. Taylor likes hanging out with her dogs, nieces, and friends. She also has fun horseback riding, bowling, shopping and watching movies.
Concierge and Delivery Driver
Richard studied Wildlife Management at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) and had a career in building material and lumber business for over 40 years. After retirement from his career, he joined the Seven Hills team to provide concierge and delivery services where he enjoys working with people and animals. In addition to this, he enjoys spending time on his farm with 2 horses, 2 dogs, and 7 chickens. He also spends his time with family including his wife and two grown children and their families.
Kate grew up on a farm and showing livestock at fairs. She loves working with exotics and has always had a passion for animals. She is currently pursuing a degree in veterinary technology. She has 2 dogs, a cat, a chameleon, and a sun conure. She also enjoys scuba diving and spending time with family.
Shayla has an associate’s degree in Biological Clinical Science and with her love of animals she is excited to work in the veterinary medicine field. Throughout her training at Seven Hills she has developed an interest in surgery and enjoys assisting doctors with various procedures. Shayla and her husband have three dogs and two horses. They are also volunteer fosters with the MOKAN Border Collie Rescue. Shayla also enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family.
Riley has a Bachelor degree in biology and chemistry from Drury University. Prior to working at Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic she has worked as a customer service representative in veterinary medicine. As a technician, she enjoys being a part of the process and seeing patients’ health improve after visiting the clinic. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, watching movies and playing the guitar. She also spends time caring for and interacting with her three dogs, two cats and two fish.
Kayla is a pre-vet student at Missouri State University working on her Bachelor in Biology and Minor in Chemistry. She has a Rottweiler mix named Maco and a 13-year-old cat named Skipper. If she is not working or studying, Kayla enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and collecting rocks.
Clare began working in the veterinary medicine field in 2006. She has a background working with shelter animal welfare and is currently pursuing an education to become a registered veterinary technician. She lives on a farm with seven horses, seven dogs, and a cat. Outside of work she stays busy with her four children and attending horse and sporting events with her kids.
After several years in retail management, Caitlin wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine in order to make a difference in the lives of animals. She enjoys learning about the variety of species that are cared for at Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling Nationally and Internationally, spending time with family and friends, playing video games, and going hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her two dogs and cat.
